Annual Meeting in Berlin 2023

The cosmic evolution of matter on all scales is the topic of this year's international annual scientific meeting of the German Astronomical Society (AG). The Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics at the Technische Universität Berlin invites you to Berlin from September 11 to 15, 2023.

The city of Berlin and the Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (ZAA, Zentrum für Astronomie und Astrophysik) of TU Berlin are part of a diverse and rich research environment including institutes such as the Leibniz-institute for astrophysics in Potsdam (AIP) or the Berlin-Adlershof division of the German Aerospace Center (DLR). The research topics of the ZAA focus especially on:

  • theory of the interstellar and intergalactic media through analytical methods as well as high resolution numerical simulations of plasmas, magnetic fields, cosmic rays and dust,
  • non-linear dynamics of astrophysical processes and plasmaphysics,
  • astrobiology, with a focus on habitability of planets,
  • observations and theory of extrasolar planetary systems.

The scientific program of the meeting consists of invited review talks, splinter meetings and poster presentations. Registration for the AG2023 conference and for scientific contributions is possible via the conference website

https://ag2023.astronomische-gesellschaft.de

Abstracts are requested to be submitted via the portal by August 15. The registration deadline for the conference is August 31.
